Job Purpose:

Overall responsibility for the preparation of regional budgets, utilization monitoring, and implementation of financial and administrative policies and procedures:

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Close liaison and work with the audit team for undertaking an annual audit of all accounts.

Ensure proper and timely accounting of all fund receipts and disbursements.

Prepare cash requests for the donors and submit timely reports as required by the donors.

Preparation of annual budget for the sub-offices - for each sector and administration:

Review expenditure and budgets

Verification of stores and maintaining relations with banks and suppliers:

Assist and support the supervisor for statutory, management, donor, or special audits.

Review the payment request as per the approved budget.

Reconciliation of cash and bank balances and accounts:

Preparation of staff salary and allowances, and other payments:

Check bills against supporting documents for mathematical accuracy and prepare covering vouchers.

Prepare cheques against approved vouchers and arrange dispatch.

Ensure timely and accurate follow-up of financial information data to all relevant departments.

Maintain adherence to the admin and personnel policies

Ensure timely and accurate payments to employees and third parties.

Identify training & development needs of Finance and Admin staff and arrange required inputs.

Ensure maintenance and update of the Human Resource Information System for the sub-offices

Recruitment & termination of casual and part-time staff with the consultation of the supervisor:
